A fantastic day out for the whole family in Hotton!

RIVEO invites you to enjoy a unique day filled with nature, fun, and discovery during our FAMILY DAY on Saturday 31 May 2025.
From 10am to 6pm, experience a rich programme of hands-on workshops, family-friendly activities, and shared moments, all in a beautiful natural setting along the banks of the Ourthe river.

Whether you're coming with young children, teenagers, or several generations, there's something for everyone!

🐟 Activities for all ages

🌊 Aquariums & Exhibition (10am to 6pm – last entry at 4:30pm)

Dive into the underwater world with our aquariums and discover the fascinating species that inhabit our rivers.
Explore our exhibition "STOP INVASIONS!", which highlights invasive species and the challenges they pose to our ecosystems.

🎣 Fishing activities (10:30am to 5pm)

• Family coarse fishing: try your hand at fishing with your family.
• Fly fishing (ages 14 and up): a graceful and technical activity, guided by our expert facilitators.
• Larvae fishing: learn all about aquatic insects and freshwater biodiversity.

🎨 Creative workshops & face painting (10am to 6pm – face painting from 2pm to 6pm)

• Children's face painting: become a fish, frog, or even a crayfish for the day!
• Craft workshops: unleash your creativity and take home a handmade souvenir.

🌿 Nature walk: ""Edible Plants"" (1pm to 4pm)

A tasty stroll to discover wild edible plants and herbs along our footpaths.
👉 Recommended for children aged 6–7 and up (easy walk – max. 25 participants).
📌 Booking recommended (in advance or on-site).

⛳ Mini-golf in the themed gardens (10am to 6pm – last entry at 4:30pm)

A relaxing and fun activity for all ages, set in our beautifully landscaped gardens.

🌙 Evening: magical family show

🦇 ""The Mad Scientist and His Clever Bat""

A fun and educational show combining humour, science, and nature!
Join a wacky scientist and Vespi, his giant bat, as they take you into the fascinating world of bats.

🕢 Time: 8:30pm to 10pm
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Limited capacity (50 people) – advance booking required (online or on-site)
